Film records each level of the zone system in a smooth gradation. Digital records each colour layer in 65000 levels. So you could argue that there is more information recorded in the film. Well yes but get real. Who the hell could ever tell the difference of 1/65,000th of a level?

Now, it's argued by film users that digital can't reproduce the true essence of film. Why? Why do you say that? Because you see the ameteur images from compact digis? We have all the information on a digital RAW that a film records. So why do you think digi doesn't reproduce the image correctly? It's funny to think that digital actually reproduces what it sees unlike film which accents some colours more than others according to which film you choose to use.

Under the Tools menu, choose Record option or use the Record tool button (red disc), to Open the Record Audio dialogue box, this will pop up out to the FlexiMusic Wave Editor- Record Audio Window.

From the Recording window, select the source of your audio signal and set the volume for recording.

Windows Volume & Play Controls:

On clicking the Recording Source and Volume button, this will open up to the Windows Operating System recording control box. Here you can select the proper channel that is, the means through which you hear the audio such as Stereo mix / CD / Line in / Mixer / Aux / Microphone / Wave / or any other. Now click the Playing devices and volume button to adjust the output play volume of each channel separately.

After making sure of all settings, then back to the FlexiMusic Wave Editor- Record Audio Window, where you can find Start button to carry out recordings.
1) Now you are ready for recording, for instance, if the recording is through phone, a dial tone can be heard. Prior to an interview, it is better advisable to check the line and your recording program to make sure that everything is set right. Click the Start button on the Record Audio Window.

Choosing the Best Sampling Settings, when we work with sound on computers, we need to change it to a digital form. . I would suggest aiming at a sampling rate of 44100 Hz, because, the more samplings the computer records, the better the sound.

Adjust Volume Levels to Avoid Distortion Keep an eye on your recording levels. You can observe the recording volume going up and down in the vertical white bars that which indicates the Recording Volume level. If you see the color in the bar constantly hitting the top, it indicates to reduce the volume if not your audio will be distorted. If you see the volume levels are too low - moving only at the bottom, then you will need to increase the volume. Simultaneously, you can watch the recording time too.

3) When your recording is completed, then again back to FlexiMusic Wave Editor- Record Audio Window, click the Stop Recording button. At any moment if you need to pause your recording, you can use “Pause” button. Once the recording is completed, click the Stop Recording button. If you are sure that your recordings are perfect, click on the “Done” button to finish the recording.

Save your Recordings:

As soon as the recording is completed, do save your recordings, for this click the File menu and choose Save. This will allow you to put the recorded file in a specific folder. Type the file name in the box against File Name. Consider using a name that which is much easier for you to figure out where the file is. MP3 Instructions:

WMA Instructions:
For exporting to a .WMA file you need to install a separate command line. You can use Windows Media 8 Encoding Utility (it is a WMA command line encoder).

Finally you have done! You can play back the file in FlexiMusic, or with any audio program, such as Windows Media Player or Winamp, and transliterate the recording.

( by the way the phone i have now is the samsung f480 (tocco)) and texting is just a bother on it, + i want a phone with some more modern technology ie the QWERTY keyboard.

Multiple microphones on 1 PC for use during webinar's/web meetings?
The company I work for has recently started doing a lot of webinar's and web meetings using services like WebEx and DimDim. We talk using VoIP (not a teleconference bridge) while sharing our presentation materials with all the attendees who've logged on.

We are doing this in a conference room that holds 15-20 people using a PC that has a set of standard computer speakers, a webcam, and a microphone that is designed to pick up everything in the room (kind of like a speaker phone.)

The problem we're having is that someone outside of our office will talk into their headset, their voice comes out of our speakers, travels back through our microphone, and finally back into the the person headset. This creates a very annoying effect that causes the person to hear himself repeat what he said a few seconds after he says it. When this happens, most people quickly decide they cannot tolerate it and refuse to continue until we switch to a phone conference.

What I'm looking for is a solution that allows us to use VoIP without the problem of our attendees outside the office hearing themselves talk immediately after they say something. Because we require that our microphone be turned on all the time during the session (people in the room often say things spontaneously) I think the main problem is the speakers.

I'm thinking a solution could potentially be that each person in our conference room has their own headset so that we don't require a single 'speaker phone' style microphone and a set of speakers to sit on the table. If this is possible, what do I need to purchase to hook 15-20 3.5mm headsets up to a single computer? The goal here is to make it so that everyone wearing one can speak at will and hear everyone else speak through the earphones on the headset.

2. Pick one note on the guitar. Let’s say the 8th fret on the B (second from the bottom) string, but you can choose any note that resonates with you.

3. Strike the note you chose and manipulate it. Bend it in ever way imaginable. Do this for 20 minutes.

4. Do the same with vibrato (10 minutes).

5. play it with emotion, every emotion you think of. Make it sound sad, happy, mad, make it sound like a whisper and make it scream, play it coy, play it funky , bluesy (25 minutes). The trick with this one is to really feel the emotion.

6. For the last 5 minutes mix in all of the above ways you struck the note. Bend it, use vibrato, play it soft, whatever you think of. Really go for it now.

7. Press stop on your recording device and listen back to it. What really stands out to you?

I discovered that I like to play with the nuances and dynamics of a note, and really make notes expressive. I also developed a library of wicked bends.

I have been unemployed for just about 8 months right now. My resume, when the job market was good, was a decent resume. I had some help from an associate at the last institution I worked for, however, reviewing it, I do not feel it is all that strong. Is Pro Tools home music studio software easy to use for first time or beginner musicians and producers?
Where can I find articles, manuals and user ratings for Pro Tools home studio software? I have most of the equipment I need to make music, but now I need something for recording and mastering my music.
